Introduction Call (20 minutes)

I know how difficult the process of finding a therapist can be, so it might be helpful to book in a free telephone or video chat, up to 20 minutes. This is not a therapy session, rather a chance for us to meet, for you to ask any questions, and get a sense of how we might work together.

This is an optional, free offer.

Initial Session (1 hour)

During your first session, we would typically start off by going through important information that pertains to us working together safely and as helpful as possible. We would then explore your current situation, wants & needs from counselling at this time in your life. We may also explore whether you’ve had previous experiences of any therapy.

Fee: £50
*Discounted Spaces available, including student discounts

1:1 Sessions (1 hour)

I offer 60 minute sessions that are typically weekly, but the frequency is your preference. This is offered via online video chat, online text chat, or via audio call. I can offer short term or long term therapy, depending on your needs.

Throughout our work, no matter the length, I ensure that we check in with each other and review how things are going.

Fee: £50

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

  • People use the words counselling, psychotherapy and therapy in different ways, and there is a lot of overlap. I use therapy as an umbrella term for the work we do together.

Counselling is often thought of as support with current difficulties and life experiences, while psychotherapy can also involve exploring deeper patterns, relationships, and the impact of earlier experiences.

In practice, the work is tailored to you and may include both, depending on what you want and what feels helpful.

Overall, counselling and psychotherapy offer a confidential space where you can talk openly about what’s going on for you, with someone trained to listen without judgement. It’s a place to explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and patterns.

Some people come to counselling and psychotherapy with a clear reason, such as anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or a specific life event. Others come with a more general sense that something doesn’t feel quite right. Both are equally valid and we do not have to work on one thing at a time. Often, people come to counselling and psychotherapy to work on something in particular but then to discover there are other things they’d like to address.

Counselling and psychotherapy are not about being given advice or being told what to do. Instead, it’s a collaborative process that helps you make sense of your experiences and find your own way forward.

  • Counselling and psychotherapy can help in different ways, depending on what you’re bringing and what you want from the process. For many, it helps by:

    • offering a safe, supportive space to talk things through

    • helping you understand patterns in thoughts, feelings, and relationships

    • increasing self-awareness and self-compassion

    • supporting you to cope with difficult emotions

    • helping you reconnect with what matters to you

    • supporting change where you feel stuck

Sometimes the help comes from insight and understanding; other times it comes from learning practical ways to respond differently. Often, it’s a combination of both.

  • There’s no set number of sessions that’s right for everyone. Some people find short-term therapy (around 6–12 sessions) helpful for working through any specific issues, while others prefer longer-term, open-ended therapy to explore issues or patterns more deeply. We can review this together as we go and adjust the work at a pace that feels right for you.

  • This looks different for everyone. Some people notice change in how they feel day to day, how they relate to others, or how they respond to stress. Others want something more concrete.

Because I work pluralistically, we can review progress in a way that suits you. If it feels helpful, we can:

    • set goals or intentions

    • check in every few sessions about what’s working and what isn’t

    • use simple feedback or preference forms to shape the work

    • adjust pace, focus, or approach as we go

We can begin with where you are, and clarify what you want from therapy over time.

  • Sessions take place online via Google Meet. I’ll send you a secure link that will stay the same for each session. You do not need to download anything, you’ll just need a private, quiet space and a stable internet connection. Many people find online therapy offers flexibility and comfort, particularly if you’re living abroad, studying, or travelling.

  • I work with clients aged 16+. I aim to offer an inclusive, respectful space, and I’m attentive to how culture, faith, identity, neurodiversity, disability, gender/sexuality, and experiences of discrimination can shape wellbeing. You’re welcome here as your whole self.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and your wellbeing is always the priority. If you have additional needs that might affect how you experience sessions, please feel free to get in touch and we can talk through what would help and how I can best support you. If at any point it feels that you would benefit from additional more specialised support (for example crisis support, psychiatric input, or practical support), I will discuss this with you openly and, where appropriate, help you explore other options.

  • I am based in the UK and registered here as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I work with clients internationally where online counselling and psychotherapy is permitted and appropriate. Unfortunately, I am unable to offer counselling to clients who are physically, permanently, based in the United States or Canada due to regulatory and insurance restrictions. If you are based outside the UK, we can discuss this together during an initial consultation to ensure the work is ethical, safe, and suitable for your circumstances.

  • This is understandable, life happens. I just ask that you let me know by email (danielle@komorebispace.com) at least 24 hours in advance, and you will not be charged. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or do not attend, the full session fee is payable. If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time and the full fee applies.

I understand emergencies happen. In exceptional circumstances (e.g., sudden illness or bereavement), please let me know as soon as possible and I may use discretion, though not always guaranteed.
